Good Luck Always Comes With Hard Work

It is hard work rather than luck that brings people success. Those who are considered to be successful must have been working hard to achieve their goal and their success can also benefit others.

Some people argue that one can not succeed unless he works very hard. There are many examples to show that success comes from hard work. One example is that Madam Curie had been working all day and all night before she made the great discovery of radium.

Other people think that luck and opportunity are more important than hard work. They argue that even if one works hard, he can not succeed without luck and opportunity. For instance, a film star, Zhang Ziyi, could never be famous if she was not given a chance to play a role in the film.

I think that both hard work and good luck are important. If one wants to be successful, he has to work hard on one hand and he has to seize the opportunity and luck on the other. These two factors are essential for one’s success.

My school has a beautiful large campus with a variety of advanced teaching facilities. What makes me feel very proud is that the teachers here are friendly and knowledgeable. Whenever I am puzzled by the problems, whether in study or in life, I can turn to them for help. However, on the other hand, there exists something that disturbs me a lot. Too much everyday homework and frequent tests always keep me too busy to have a good rest and develop my interests.

If I could make a school, in my mind, the school should provided more hands-on, personalized, engaging subjects or activities that preserve students’ curiosity and joy of learning. The teachers would focus on teaching the students how to learn, not what to learn, creating lifelong learners, explorers and discovers. In addition, I think it would be great to have a day off every week, as well as the weekend. I am sure we could learn just as much in fewer hours if we improved our learning efficiency.

The author tells us that he became successful in his life by making decisions by himself in spite that his decisions didn’t agree with his father’s, which is advice for the young.

It can often be seen that parents force their children to do what they expect them to for a life. However, this may often lead to conflicts between children and parents, sometimes even unfortunate consequences. As is known, anything the children decide to do when they are young will generally be their lifelong careers. If parents’ advice is against their ambitions or interests, they may be failures without the sense of achievement. Therefore, if parents care about their children’s future success and happiness, please respect their ambitions and choices.

But do you think it needs communication and proper tactics to make your parents to respect your choice and ambition? Here is an example in my life. When I was about to graduate from junior school, one of my friends, who loved auto engineering, decided not to go to high school, but go to a vocational to learn auto engineering. His parents were terribly against his idea. One evening, he sat by his father and asked a question what would increase fastest in the future 10 years. His father realized what he wanted to say after giving him the answer. They talked about cars and car repairing for hours. His parents eventually agreed with him and supported his choice. From the above, we can draw a conclusion that if you try to solve the problem by communication and proper tactics to make your parents understand your decision, they will respect your choice and ambition.

On Overparenting

Because parents are having fewer children, they increasingly feel the need to control the lives of t

hose children. As a result, many children are becoming less independent, determined and ambitious than in the past.?

Parents today discourage their children from doing housework, extracurricular activities and socializing because they fear it will interrupt their education. For example, when I was younger I wanted to learn the guitar but my parent wouldn’t allow me because they believed it would distract me from my studies. They are happy as long as I perform well in my exams but don’t seem concerned about how I develop as a person.

To some extend, I understand parents’ concerns, but I think they should love their children for who they are, not what they want them to be. We deserve the chance to chase our own dreams and learn on our own. Even if we fail, we can learn from those failures.

From the story, we can see that many parents work too hard to support the family because of the challenging society. Therefore, they ignored the feeling of their children, which will have a bad influence on their children’s growth. Besides, it will do harm to the relationship between the parents and the children.

As to my parents, they also work very hard. However, they spare time to communicate with me every night. What’s more, they take me out to do sports every Sunday to make me relaxed and love them more.

In order to form a good relationship with the children and make them grow up healthily, parents can follow the two suggestions. On one hand, they should work very hard during the working time but tired to reduce the times of overwork. If they have to, they should tell the kids first and tried make up for it later. On the other hand, they should have a good plan for the weekend or the coming holidays to have a happy with the kids, which will improve their relationship.

According to the survey, many students become addicted to computer games and some even play computer games for a long time without eating and bathing, which has bad effect on their studies and health.

From my point of view, I am strongly against students’ playing computer games because it causes many disadvantages. First, students addicted to computer games can’t concentrate on their study and therefore they may fall behind the other students and their scores get worse and worse. Second, spending too much time playing computer games instead of taking exercise will do harm to the students’ eyesight and make their body in bad condition. Third, some computer games are full of violence, blood and sex, where students may imitate them and do something wrong to society.

In conclusion, students should keep off computer games even though they have no lessons. They should make full use of time to work hard at their lessons and take more exercise for the sake of their future.
